Dean Burmester made five birdies and an eagle over the final seven holes at the  Sun Windmill Challenge to win by four shots at Bloemfontein Golf Club.

“I was under the gun, and that stretch has got to rank right up there with the best golf I’ve ever played,” he said after signing for a 65 and an 18-under-par 54-hole total of 198.

He became the first three-time champion of the 2015 season, having already lifted trophies at the Lombard Insurance Classic and the Golden Pilsener Zimbabwe Open.

Callum Mowat had a superb week that started with a round of 62. He settled for second place on 14-under-par, while local player Makgetha Mazibuko took home third place on 12-under.

Rookie Rourke van der Spuy had a good week and finished sole fourth on 11-under, while the ever-present Jared Harvey was fifth on 10-under.
