Royal Durban Golf Club are spearheading a bid to revive the game of golf at clubs around the country. The Royal Durban National Club Championship will be staged in the first week of May 2016 and sees clubs sending eight man teams to play at four of the top golf clubs in the province – Mount Edgecombe Country Club, Kloof Country Club, Durban Country Club and Royal Durban Golf Club.

The event is the brain child of former Springbok full-back Rodney Gould, working in conjunction with Michael Jordan at Royal Durban Golf Club.

Entry is restricted to bricks and mortar clubs and players will play off 75% of their lowest handicap recorded in the last six months prior to the event.

A “Grand Prix” style points scoring system will be used at the four venues to keep track of each team’s performance.
