On behalf of Tee and Sandwedges we would like to pass on our condolences to the Madiba Family on the passing of South Africa’s Greatest Icon – Nelson Mandela.
It’s December and we have already seen two great events, The SA Open and The Dunhill being won by Morten Orum Madsen of Sweden and Charl Schwartzel who can do no wrong on the tough Leopard Creek layout. After one damp day at The Nedbank Challenge it would seem, with the quality of the 30 players and the number of spectators, Nedbank and Sun International have come up with a great new format for “Africa’s Major”.
In November 114 ladies (no men allowed) seemed to have had a great time at Champagne Sports Resort, both on and off the course, although I am told that “What happens at Champagne stays at Champagne”. We recently went off to Zebula, in Limpopo, and enjoyed the hospitality and the sighting of a variety of animals at this great resort. Zebula is unfortunately suffering from over a year’s drought which has affected both the fairways and the rough and they desperately need rain to bring the course to the high standard of the rest of the resort.
2014 sees Tee and Sandwedges increasing its number of promotions and new venues include Legends, Euphoria, the Seniors in May and the Ladies in November at Champagne Sports Resort, Wild Coast Sun, Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius and Phakalane in Botswana. Tee and Sandwedges is going to Malaysia in October where we will try to include a day or two at the CIMB Classic.
To all our readers, advertisers and friends, Lynn and I wish you and your families a great Festive Season and may all your putts drop in 2014.
See you on the Tee
